Questions To Ask Yourself and Your Contractor
When choosing a well driller, you should ask the following questions:
- Do you have the proper licenses to construct wells in my area? Are you insured?
- What is your reputation with the other customers you’ve worked with?
- Are you competitively priced?
- Are there alternative options that cost slightly more now, but would be a better investment to make in the long run?
- Am I going to need to clear trees, level a drilling site, pay a percentage down prior to starting, or pay when the job is done?
- Can you meet my expectations and drill the well where and when I want it? Or can you suggest a more realistic option?
Before you make a final decision, think about the long-term benefits. Ideally, upgrading your source of water is something that will benefit you for many years to come.
