Questions To Ask Yourself and Your Contractor

When choosing a well driller, you should ask the following questions:

Do you have the proper licenses to construct wells in my area? Are you insured?
What is your reputation with the other customers you’ve worked with?
Are you competitively priced?
Are there alternative options that cost slightly more now, but would be a better investment to make in the long run?
Am I going to need to clear trees, level a drilling site, pay a percentage down prior to starting, or pay when the job is done?
Can you meet my expectations and drill the well where and when I want it? Or can you suggest a more realistic option?

Before you make a final decision, think about the long-term benefits. Ideally, upgrading your source of water is something that will benefit you for many years to come.
